Admissions are now open for a place at our campus in the Delhi NCR. Our first cohort for bachelor’s and master’s degrees starts in August 2025.

A clear and fair process

We rely on academic scores, along with a personal statement and a reference letter to understand if an applicant can make the most of our programmes. Applicants with different interests and aspirations, and from different states, cultures and even nationalities are welcome at our campuses. Each one makes a unique contribution to the diversity that is our way of life.

We have three early application windows, followed by a final regular round. We reserve the right to extend or modify these dates based on results from a number of Boards and Examining Bodies We may no longer accept late applications if a specific programme reaches capacity. We will review applications, and contact individuals with a decision according to this schedule:-

Eligibility criteria

We want to make offers that fairly assess every applicant wherever they are based. The criteria to secure an offer is typically:-

  • An overall score in Grade 12 for undergraduate admissions, or a final university or college score for postgraduate programmes.
  • One or more subjects may be specified as compulsory preparation for some degrees. Applicants should verify subject requirements for their programme if required, and whether an indicative mark in the subject or level of study is specified.
  • Demonstrable and proven proficiency in English for the specific programme.

We do not require that applicants appear for admission tests as part of the application process. Proficiency in English may be indicated in a number of ways that include widely accepted tests. However, tests are not required if applicants can meet other conditions.

Applicants should refer to specific details for each programme to know whether they are eligible to apply. Eligibility criteria do not entitle a candidate to admission - they only indicate the minimum requirement to be considered for admission.

Admission and eligibility and requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate study varies, so it is important to check before making an application to study. Individual programmes may also have different criteria which can be seen on individual programme pages.

Making an application to study

All applications are made online. To make an application for more than one programme, applicants should complete a separate form for each programme that they are interested in.

An application must be completed in a single session, which likely to take about 45 minutes, because applicants cannot save a partially completed application form. Applicants should have digital copies of documents ready before starting an application.

An application processing fee of INR 5,500 must be paid after an application form has been completed and submitted. We cannot process an application until this fee is paid.

To make an application to study:-

We encourage students to make their application to study at University of Southampton Delhi as soon as they can. This means we can issue an early Conditional Offer and that students will have the best the chance to meet their offer conditions. If demand is high, we may choose to close applications earlier than mentioned, but students with Offers to study would receive preferential treatment.

There is normally a 5,500 INR application assessment fee which students would need to pay in order for us to process their application.

We are taking applications right now for the first intake of students in August 2025. We encourage students to apply as soon as possible so that they can receive a Conditional Offer based on predicted scores for their chosen programme. We can accept an application from a student using their predicted grades if we receive their final grades once they are available.
